Salón del Manga de Barcelona

From 1 to 5 November

The XXIII Salón del Manga de Barcelona will feature in this edition of 2017 with 75,000 square meters. In addition to being able to visit the stands of the exhibitors, in this fair you can enjoy many activities, most related to Japan, the country in which the manga was born. Among the authors present in this edition are Robico, who debuted in 2005 in the May edition of The Desert magazine with "Demekinikku" and in 2008 began the serialization of which until now is his best known work, Tonari no kaibutsu - kun, (NORMA Editorial under the title of "El monstruo de al lado"); and Yoko Kamio, a well-known female comic author who began her career in 1986 with "Hatachi no mama de matteru". His successful manga "Shôjo Do not Tell Me with Flowers", 1992, was serialized for twelve years in "The Margaret" magazine. Also noteworthy is the tribute to Kenneos, pseudonym of Victoria Chamizo, an illustrator born in Valencia who died in August 2016, with only 28 years. His work, with a great influence of the aesthetics of the manga and anime, was well-known by the Spanish fans. Ediciones Babylon has published two of his works, "La dama de las nieves", which adapts a classic Japanese story, and "El hada de cristal", a fantastic story that has been published also in English.
