The Picasso family came to Barcelona in 1895 y found an accommodation in a pension which is nowadays the restaurant "Set Portes" (seven doors): from the blue period to the mediterranean cuisine and, interestingly, between absinthe and absinthe, the young Picasso drew the title of a menu card with the first menu of the newly founded "4Gats" (four cats)... the construction of the Sagrada Familia began in 1882 on an open field in Barcelona designed by the architect Francisco de Paula del Villar.

- ¿Francisco de Paula del Villar?

-yes, but he got out of the project because due to disagreements with the promotors of the work, and the project was offered to the  architect Joan Martorell, who refuses but recommended...Antoni Gaudí.

Making a reservation for a tour to visit the Picasso museum or the Sagrada Familia not only means to book a visit with a guide to know more historical details and interesting stories ot the visited places, it also avoids long ticket lines. When booking a guided tour the tickets are already included and tours with official guides can enter without queuing.

WeBarcelona in collaboration with Ticketbar offer guided walking tours for the  Picasso Museum,  Parc Güell, the Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia and more.

Well, make sure that your camera has a film,...pardon, we want to say, make sure that your camera battery, tablet or smartphone is loaded, espacially if you book a tour for the Parc Güell because the panoramic views over Barcelona are excellent. And we just want to remind you, that ist is forbidden to take pictures in the exhibitions halls of the Picasso Museum.
