In addition to displaying all kinds of products, materials and news related to the disciplines of "Do it Yourself" (DIY), the Handmade Festival Barcelona offers visitors activities and experiences such as workshops and talks. Thread the needle, fold the paper, tighten the screw, cut the wood and savor a sweet or salty tapa.

At the Handmade Festival you will find exhibitors and activities related to the following topics:

  • Thread: needles, amigurumis -crochet dolls-, patterns, patchwork, wool and sewing machines.
  • Paper: scrapbooking, decoupage, inks, books and paints.
  • Brico-Wood: DIY, home styling and gardening: urban gardens, paintings and tools for furniture restoration.

In addition, on the terrace of the Fira Barcelona space reserved for Handmade Festival Bcn, you can enjoy a Food Market, with foodtrucks and sweet tables, concerts, and activities for the little ones in the house.

The Handmade Festival 2023 edition

The 10th edition of HMF Barcelona will be more traditional than ever, but with many novelties and, as always, will feature some of the top influencers in the DIY world. These are the most prominent: Olivia López-Needlebox, Carolina Feola de Poetrica, Itzie Dreams, Gemma Ballesté Gómez, Soc una joia, Mónica Iglesias. Moniqueca, Own Style Diy, Magalí Bertón from Atelier del Album, Marisa Bernal, Traces of Macrame (Melody and Juan), Marta (Soc Somiadora), Yuko Nakajima and Cristina Radovan.

This year, in addition to the classic workshops (the longest), you will have two other options: express workshops, which last 60 minutes, and free workshops . In all cases you will need to register. Don't forget that they also offer Kids workshops, which this year will teach, for example, how to personalize an umbrella or a backpack.

This fair is for professionals and the general public.
