Concert of South American and Oriental music

Concert by the duo composed by the cellist Kimho Ip and the accordionist Otavio Assis Brasil. In this intimate and intense concert that will be held in the center of Barcelona, ​​they will perform works by Piazzolla, Albeniz and Liu Tien-Hua.

Two musicians with a solid musical background

Otavio Assis Brasil, accordion teacher in Zaragoza, is the first South American to achieve the title of Classical Accordion. He is also licensed by the Higher Conservatory of Music of Aragon and in Musical Composition by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Kimho Ip, professor at the Lingnan University of Hong Kong, holds a PhD in Music, Philosophy and Music Theory from the University of Edinburgh since 2004. In that University he was professor of the postgraduate course in music and culture.

Performances in several countries and film music

Octavio has performed solo concerts and has collaborated with different groups, performing in important concert halls in Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Morocco and Belgium. Kimho Ip has received several composition awards and has composed music for films in China. His works have already been performed at several festivals in Europe such as the Gaudeamous Amsterdam, and the Edinburgh International Festival.
