Two CaixaForum exhibitions and one from the CCCB, which were already open to the public before the great cancellation and confinement, can now be visited again or in the coming days. And it is official that Formula 1 will start engines on July 3 in Austria and will arrive in Barcelona on August 14.

Where we are, where we could be

"Where we are, where we could be" is an exhibition with works by various artists, based on the idea that art is a guide, an instruction manual to point out territories that did not exist before. Therefore, without creation, we would be unable to reach those territories to explore them. But how does the creative process begin, how are new territories generated? We have to look around and at the same time notice our own presence to participate or merge with the context, we have to reflect on where we are and where we could go.

Objects of desire. Surrealism and design. 1924-2020

Design and everyday objects were a great source of inspiration for writers, filmmakers and artists, and had a key role in the evolution of the surrealism. However, and although it is little known, from the Second World War, the design was also influenced by surealism. This exhibition of CaixaForum shows us that double direction of influences, that feed-back between surrealism and design, and for this they exhibit surrealist works of art alongside design pieces from the last hundred years.

Gameplay. Video Game Culture

Since they became popular in the seventies and eighties, video games have developed as an expressive and entertainment medium, and have taken center stage in our imaginary: nowadays contemporary society and culture cannot be understood without having consider the video game. Gameplay travels to the origins of video games to analyze their language and value the impact they have had on both digital popular culture and art and society. Gameplay is intended as an exhibition to play, and at the same time understand the culture of the game and enjoy it in a critical spirit. It's about (re)discovering and (re)playing.
