Lola, the Musical will be performed in Barcelona from August 31 to September 24, as part of its national tour . In honor of the centenary of the birth of Lola Flores, a vibrant show will be held at the Teatre Apolo that will feature live music and will stand out for its creativity and color, with the participation of 30 talented artists on stage. Verónica Carmona will assume the role of La Faraona, impersonating the iconic Lola Flores.
Based on the artistic trajectory of the incomparable Lola Flores, Lola el Musical will take us through different facets of musical art, exploring historical moments of the past. Set mainly between the 1950s and 1970s, the show will capture a crucial period in the history of Spain, a complicated and memorable time.
This emotionally charged musical will relive crucial moments in the life of the great artist through her songs, passions and funniest anecdotes. From its beginnings to its legacy, a careful and admiring treatment will be given to the artistic life of "La gran Lola", as expressed by the organizers of the event. Juan Ramón Utrera will act as theater director, while Daniel Matas and Pedro Centeno will assume the roles of musical director and artistic director, respectively.
