The Barcelona Wax Museum opened its doors in 1973. Its collections and the way they are exhibited have recently been renovated, while respecting its impressive architecture and historical value. Using new technologies, this iconic Barcelona space has been transformed into a 21st century interactive museum.

Sade's writings can be interpreted as both a philosophy of freedom and a philosophy of evil. The exhibition shows his influence on thought from the early 20th century to the present day, explores his impact on artists and intellectuals, and explains how he has become an icon present in popular culture.

In Barcelona and its metropolitan area, there will be 90 cultural centers that will open free of charge from 7:00 p.m. on May 13 to 1:00 a.m. on May 14. But on the Night of the Museums, in addition to visiting them, you can also participate in numerous activities for all ages. In total, you will have access to 121 exhibitions and 86 activities.

The opening will be double, in both cases with circus: The Pulse, by Gravity & Other Myths with the Cor de Noies de l'Orfeó Català (June 29), and Les traceurs, by funambulist Nathan Paulin, a show by Rachid Ouramdane to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Passeig de Gràcia (July 2).
