Adolfo Domínguez, created by the designer of the same name, is one of the most important fashion brands in Spain. Adolfo Domínguez, the designer, spent his childhood in his parents' tailoring workshop. He began his professional career in his native Galicia, having studied art and cinema in Paris, and opened his first store in Orense (1976), where he presented his first men's collection. His first influences were the Japanese designers of the moment, and he based his fashion proposal on sobriety and freedom.
In the 80s, the Adolfo Domínguez brand began to gain importance. The AD Woman line was created and the collections were presented at the fashion shows in Madrid and Paris. It was the moment when they launched the slogan "The wrinkle is beautiful", a historical slogan that is still remembered in our country and that speaks of the passion for the naturalness of the brand. From that moment the expansion process of AD began with the opening of new stores in Madrid and Barcelona, and managed to dress two fictional detectives called Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs, from the well-known and influential television series "Miami Vice". Adolfo Domínguez currently has 343 stores in 19 countries on 5 continents.

Awards
Adolfo Domínguez has won numerous awards. The Lifetime Achievement (awarded to the designer at Miami Fashion Week), in recognition of his achievements in the world of fashion; the Golden Needle of the Ministry of Culture of Spain, as a prize for their cultural contribution and artistic creation; and the National Fashion Design Award granted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Government of Spain.
