About the 2023 edition of Summer Nights at CaixaForum
The activities of this year's edition are organized in 5 thematic sections: night of circus, night of complicity, night of rhythm, night of humor and night of movement.
Activities
Circus night
The circus night is an opportunity to approach the circus from another perspective, in a shared and exciting experience. Between fanfare, juggling and acrobats, everyone will be able to enjoy the shows and, thanks to the Circus Stations workshop, practice the most necessary circus skills such as balance, dexterity, coordination, flexibility and aiming.
Night of complicity
CaixaForum proposes for the night of complicity to connect, to mix, to look at each other. It is the time for tandems, dialogues, miscellaneous and surprising encounters. The spaces where the complicity will take place will allow the creators to dialogue with each other through their art and to connect disciplines that are not always close and to encourage encounters between artists and the public.
Night of rhythm
A night in which you can choose between dancing, listening and reconnecting with the most ancestral pulse, extracting sounds from instruments or discovering the possibilities of your own body as a percussion instrument. Percussions from all over the world, beats that sound inside and out.
Night of humor
Good humor is the protagonist of this evening: it will creep into every corner of our minds to unleash laughter, thanks to the witty monologues of the most irreverent artists and improvised appearances.
An evening of movement
An evening to pay tribute to the body through dance. Energetic and varied proposals ranging from contemporary dance, flamenco, Australian haka or improvisation.
The installation
Cel Rogent by Ignasi Bonjoch
An installation that will transform the atmosphere and accompany the different cultural events that will take place in the same courtyard.
During the visit to the exhibitions
Fun Place
Fun Place is a sound piece that is played unexpectedly every so often in the exhibition halls of CaixaForum, and that aims to create a different state (more open, bodily, sensitive and playful) while visiting the exhibitions.
Most of the events are free and some are priced at 6 or 9 €. To visit the exhibitions you have to reserve a day and time.
