Sónar + D is an international congress that has been held since 2013. Its objective is to explore the way in which creativity modifies our present and how that same creativity imagines new futures. In this multidisciplinary congress, which is held in parallel to the Sónar Barcelona, researchers, innovators and leaders of the business world collaborate, and brings together in Barcelona outstanding artists, musicians, creatives, designers, filmmakers, thinkers, scientists, entrepreneurs, makers and hackers. All the programming of Sónar + D has been carefully selected to generate inspiration and networking.
Sónar + D is a unique environment for professionals and technology enthusiasts where they can discover breakthrough projects, find business opportunities, acquire new capabilities and showcase their initiatives. There are four intense days of lectures, demos, workshops, tech shows, exhibitions, immersive experiences, live performances, individual mentoring meetings and community meetings.

The main theme of Sónar+D 2024 is how creative industries can face the future in a period of radical transformation. The current creative landscape reflects the atmosphere of the Wild West, recalling the initial era of the Internet in the 90s and the heyday of the blogosphere in the 2000s. Topics such as the widespread use of Artificial Intelligence, the recognition of platform capitalism and the new Frontiers of immersive entertainment and augmented reality are on the minds of creative professionals.
