The Colombian Consulate in Barcelona, in collaboration with the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu and the Grupo Bastón de Oro, has organized a concert of traditional Colombian music. The event will feature arrangements for the Liceu Big Band composed of 18 musicians, as well as the participation of special guests such as Felipe Muñoz, who will play the Marimba de Chonta, and the talented singer-songwriter Angélica López.
Under the musical direction of renowned Colombian composer, director and arranger Eliana Echeverry, the concert will offer a selection of music representative of different regions of Colombia. The rhythms of the Caribbean coast, the eastern plains, the Colombian Pacific and the Andean zone will be interpreted, showing the diversity and cultural richness of the country.
