The Píndoles (pills) festival of microtheatres outside the theater was the first Barcelona festival of this discipline. It seeks to become the benchmark of professional microtheatre in Catalonia and, at the same time, provide space and voice to young playwrights and performers.
The project also allows discovering, at times, unique and unknown spaces to the public. A varied and quality programming: drama, comedy, thriller ... and since 2017 has incorporated micro-shows from other disciplines such as dance, poetry, circus or object theater...
The microplays are exclusive premieres of the festival, and are chosen by a commission of dramatists.
The 2023 edition
This year's edition is held again at the Montjuïc Castle and there will be performances in unique places in the castle and in spaces usually closed to the public.
The GiraPíndoles
This festival is the beginning of a major project: The GiraPíndoles. The works that are released have the opportunity to enter a catalog to be programmed in an itinerant format for the most unique spaces of several municipalities in Catalonia. Since he saw the light, the GiraPíndoles has already made more than 150 stops.
