The Barcelona Cultural District is a stable circuit of free professional shows that takes place in local cultural facilities (mainly civic centers) in the ten districts of Barcelona. It offers shows in five disciplines: music, theater, dance, circus and audiovisual, and also accompanies different community creation projects in the neighborhoods. The shows are of quality; some signed by recognized artists who have performed on stages throughout Europe, and others by young talents.
The 14th edition of Barcelona Cultural District
The 14th edition of Barcelona Cultural District, which ends on December 28, presents 37 cultural proposals, including circus, theater, dance, music and children's cinema, with a total of 228 performances and special passes for schools and institutes. In addition, they are accompanied by colloquiums, talks and complementary activities. Two new spaces are incorporated: the Milaway Room of the Milà i Fontanals Institute and the Center Cívic Bon Pastor.
The offer includes 13 theatrical proposals, such as the adaptation of "El bon policia" and "Faking Audition." There are also 8 dance proposals and a diverse and equal musical offering. 6 circus shows are scheduled for all ages.
For younger audiences, Barcelona Cultural District offers a wide range of options, from circus and comedy to dance and theater. Also included are screenings of children's films with themes such as acceptance and diversity, accompanied by educational presentations.
