Sixteenth edition of the World Press Photo in which the photographs and multimedia pieces that are exhibited, have received this prestigious international award for photojournalism. This photo exhibition, held at the CCCB, presents the award winning images of the 2020 edition.
The exhibition is considered worldwide as the most important in the field of photojournalism and is known for the quality of their photographs, as well as the debate and criticism generated by each exposed work.
In the 2020 edition, three Spanish photographers are among the winners: Ricard García Vilanova and Ramón Espinosa, both from Barcelona, and Antonio Pizarro Rodríguez, from Seville.
This year's winning picture is "Straight Voice", by Japanese Yasuyoshi Chiba for Agence France-Presse. The World Press Photo Story of the Year, has been for the work "Kho, the Genesis of a Revolt", by the Frenchman Romain Laurendeau.

The Photographic Social Vision Foundation, organizer of the event, enlarges the exhibition with guided tours (this year also online) and other off activities with the aim of generating debate on the value and challenges of photojournalism, as well as delving into the topics discussed or suggested in the winning projects. An example of these activities is the free projection, on the big screen of the CCCB Hall, of the winning works of the Long Format and Short Format categories of the Digital Narrative Contest.
