TEDxBarcelona is a platform that presents interesting ideas and projects to promote debate and networking among the TED community in Barcelona. In the half-day TEDxBarcelona events, ideas and their advances are presented, in talks lasting 10 to 15 minutes. Usually 1 or 2 events are organized every year and, at the end, they are available online.
But, what is TED?
TED is an annual event where some of the most important thinkers and entrepreneurs in the world are invited to share what they are most passionate about. "TED" means Technology, Entertainment and Design, although the event has been extended to other topics and it can be said that, currently, the TED events focus on "ideas that are worth explaining". Those attending the TED events (executives, creatives, scientists, philanthropists ...), are almost as extraordinary as the speakers. For the TEDs have passed Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Frank Gehry, Jane Goodall, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson and Philippe Starck. TED was held for the first time in Monterrey, California, in 1984.
And what is TEDx?
TEDx is a program created by TED. They are events that have the same spirit but with local focus. The conferences are planned and organized independently and non-profit, TED is the inspiration, x means "independently organized TED event", and is followed by the city, Barcelona in this case.
The next TEDxBarcelona event
On January 22, 2022 extraordinary people will present you with their ideas to live a healthy life. There will be a break with a small fair to which some companies from Barcelona have invited to present their innovative products.
