The Barcelona International Boat Show, organized by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), exhibits the largest and most varied commercial offer in Spain in sports and recreational boating. This show is the best commercial showcase of Spanish nautical industry with the presence of the main national and international brands, and is consolidating itself as the largest professional platform in the sector.

The Boat Show was born in 1962 and has been a founding member since that same year of the International Federation Boat Show Organizers (IFBSO).

The 61st edition of the Barcelona Boat Show (2023)

The 61st edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show stands out as an event that brings the America's Cup closer to the city and brings together the nautical community in Port Vell. From October 11 to 15, this leading exhibition in Spain and Europe takes place at the Marina Port Vell, de la Fusta and España docks. In addition to showcasing the latest boats and innovations, the event will offer exhibitions, talks and experiences related to the America's Cup to excite fans, families and lovers of the sea.

The Barcelona Boat Show includes the America's Cup Experience, an immersive exhibition that allows you to experience sailing on an AC75 class monohull sailboat, similar to those that will compete in the America's Cup, through a virtual reality simulator. Additionally, the location of the America's Cup teams' nautical bases affects the arrangement of boats in the hall, with motor yachts at the Marina Port Vell and Spain docks, and sailboats and catamarans at the Marina dock.

The president of the show, Luis Conde, highlights the importance of including the Copa América in the event, since it brings great value to the Boat Show and the city of Barcelona.

The event also focuses on sustainability, innovation and electrification in the nautical industry to move towards the blue economy, and will feature more than 220 exhibitors and 700 vessels, including 160 afloat.

The Boat Show will also offer activities to promote sailing sports and reach new audiences. The director of the fair, Josep Antoni Llopart, highlights its role as a business driver for quality tourism in Spain.
