On Sunday, December 3, the Posa't la gorra party will be held, with music, novelties and special activities. The party aims to highlight a determined and benevolent behavior in the face of adversity. An attitude known to all families going through the oncological process with one of their sons or daughters, who must assume a diagnosis that causes an extraordinary emotional shock. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of this reality and also to raise funds to maintain the services that AFANOC offers free of charge to improve their conditions in the hospital, providing psychosocial support, and to maintain La Casa dels Xuklis, a temporary resource for families who must travel for their children to receive treatment in referral hospitals.
The Posa't la gorra party of 2023
Hosted by actress and screenwriter Elisenda Pineda, accompanied by Catalan trap singer Lildami. The party includes live performances by the group BETA and outstanding voices of the second edition of TV3. On this occasion, we will have the privilege of having the exclusive participation of Titó, one of the most beloved characters of SX3 among children. The highlight of the day will be the reading of a manifesto by young people and children who have experienced the reality of the disease, accompanied by the board of AFANOC and institutional representatives.
As for the visual aspect, this year the Brazilian artist Tarsila Schubert has been commissioned to design the cap that will be available for €8.00. Her inspiration comes from her rich multicultural heritage, which is the basis of her work. The cap stands out for its green color, adorned with borders in black, orange, pink, green and white. On the front, there is an eye with the same tones of the borders. This eye symbolizes the attention, care and constant and firm support that are essential throughout the childhood cancer process.
To access the party it is essential to buy the new cap, which is sold online for 8,00 €. All proceeds will go to AFANOC.
Access to the party includes a visit to Poble Espanyol.
