This year's edition has been proposed to recover the pre-pandemic DNA of the Mas i Mas Festival, especially thanks to the recovery of the right to dance. However, they have also added new formats, styles and trends that connect with the contemporary, such as urban music, soul, funk, hip-hop, r'n'b and swing that are already present in the programming Jamboree annual.

In the vocal section, the voices of the aforementioned Peyroux, Dianne Reeves, Melody Gardot, Cécile McLorin Salvant and Samara Joy stand out.

In a moment of transformation, and among great events that mark the future of the continent, this year 2022 the Grec Festival of Barcelona makes Europe the protagonist. That is why it will take us to nearby territories: German theatre, Dutch dance, English musicals, Portuguese fado, the universe of Fellini, Catalan singer-songwriters, French chanson; but also distant in time and reviewed from a current perspective: texts from the Spanish Golden Age, Ibsen, Molière, Shakespeare and Sappho, along with music by Mahler or Mozart.

Promoted by the Barcelona City Council and the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC), and heir to Architecture Week, Model. Barcelona Architecture Festival celebrates its first edition. There will be physical and augmented reality installations, debates in emblematic spaces in Barcelona, a tribute to Oriol Bohigas at the Ateneu Barcelonès and more than one hundred activities organized by independent entities.

OFFF 2022 will bring together the main voices of the creative industry in person. The lineup of the 21st edition will be one of the most powerful in its history: at the Disseny Hub Barcelona we will be able to listen to more than 62 speakers linked to the field of creativity, design, visual art and digital culture.

The best auteur cinema produced in the world comes to Barcelona again: 124 films, 47 of which are short films, and more than 40 directors and artistic teams will present their films and dialogue with the festival's audience.

In 2020, the Sant Jordi celebrations on April 23 were canceled and a substitute was organized on July 23. In 2021 a decentralized Sant Jordi was organized, but this year 2022 the celebration of Sant Jordi returns to normal. The novelty of this edition is that a literary super block will be created around Passeig de Gràcia: the Superilla de Sant Jordi. There will be 140,000 m2 dedicated to books between Gran Via and Diagonal Avenue, and Pau Claris and Balmes streets.
