Cyborgs, superhumans and clones, evolution or extinction? What does it mean to be human today? How will be the humanity in a hundred years? These are the big questions posed in this exhibition. The technological potential moves very quickly but should we continue to modify our bodies, our minds and our daily lives, or are there limits we should not exceed? The exhibition explores the future of our species taking into account emerging technologies and as well their cultural and ethical contexts.

HUMAN+ includes works by fifty artists and pioneering research proposals: from assisted reproduction techniques and emerging experiments in synthetic biology, to the possibility of perpetuating ourselves through the digital realm. The exhibition is organized in four major themes: increased capacity, meeting others, designing the environment and life in its limits. Each theme is represented by works of art, historical artifacts, videos, scientific research and commercial products.
