The "Mediterráneo Da Capo" tour by Joan Manuel Serrat will arrive in Barcelona on December 18 and 19 after passing through Argentina and Chile. The title of this new musical adventure tells us everything: on the one hand the songs that we can hear, a mythical album, "Mediterráneo" and, on the other, the personal motivations of the singer with his return to the origins, the extended and open homeland that represents the sea that bathes the coasts of our city (Da Capo is a musical term that means return to the beginning, thus Serrat returns to the Mediterranean with "Meditarráneo").
Antonio Machado, Miguel Hernandez, Joan Salvat Papasseit, Mario Benedetti, Josep Carner, Rafael Alberti, Federico Garcia Lorca, Pablo Neruda, Leon Felipe ... All these poets are responsible for some of the texts to which Joan Manuel Serrat has put music and they have captivated us for almost forty years. His influence in the music scene has been such that he was named Person of the year in 2014 at the Latin Grammys, being honored by artists such as Miguel Bosé, Calle 13, Niña Pastori and Joaquín Sabina among others.
"Meditérraneo", one of Serrat's most important albums
It is his eighth album and one of the most loved by the public. Edited by the Zafiro / Novola label in 1971, all his songs were composed by Serrat with the exception of "Vencidos", which is based on a poem by León Felipe. There are 10 songs that will remind you of moments that will undoubtedly thrill you. "Mediterráneo", "Aquellas pequeñas cosas", "La mujer que yo quiero", "Pueblo blanco", "Tío Alberto", "Qué va a ser de ti", "Lucía", "Vagabundear", "Barquito de papel", "Vencidos" and some musical surprise await you at the Forum Auditorium in December, the end of the "Mediterráneo Da Capo" tour.
