The Classical Ballet of Cuba from the city of Camagüey will carry out its third tour of Spain with its magnificent interpretation of El Lago de los Cisnes, which will be presented for the first time at the Teatre Apolo in Barcelona on June 15 and at the EDP Theater Gran Vía in Madrid on July 5. With a repertoire that includes more than 250 ballet productions, from traditional to avant-garde works, the company has 32 dancers on stage who will demonstrate the methodology of the Cuban Ballet School. The company, founded in 1967 under the direction of Vicentina de la Torre and directed by maestro Fernando Alonso, has toured numerous stages in Europe and America, and is one of only two classical ballet companies in Cuba.
The Classical Ballet of Cuba of Camagüey has filled the main theaters of the world for more than 55 years, demonstrating stability, joint work and rapport in its classical style. Among the most outstanding productions of the company are Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Giselle, La fille mal gardee, Coppelia and Don Quixote.
The opportunity to see the Ballet de Camagüey in its spellbinding presentation of El Lago de los Cisnes in Spain will be extended for eight weeks in Barcelona and Madrid.
