The Palau de la Música Catalana, owned by the Associació Orfeó Català and headquarters of the Orfeó Català, aims to promote music, with special attention to choral singing. It also promotes the dissemination of cultural heritage and knowledge, the promotion of Catalan culture, and the consolidation of social cohesion. The Association develops actions to achieve its objectives through the Fundació Orfeó Català-Palau de la Música Catalana, which manages all the activity of the choirs of the Orfeó and the Palau de la Música Catalana. One of its most visible activities is the organization of classical music concerts, which is reflected every year in the Palau de la Música season. But this modernist building designed by the Barcelona architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, also hosts concerts for the whole family and concerts by other organizers in which, in addition to classical music, they offer other kinds of musical styles such as jazz, flamenco, folk, rock or pop.
