Festival of Gràcia (Festa Major de Gràcia) | ProgramThe Festival of Gràcia have a long tradition and are one of the most famous in Barcelona for the various organized activities, but mainly for the decoration of the streets and balconies. Neighborhood associations work all year round to decorate the street to which they belong. First they decide the theme and then they design and create all the decorative elements based primarily on recycled material. The themes are different and so we can find a street dedicated to prehistory, another to space travel and another to love. But the important thing is to participate, a competition between the streets is organized and prizes for the three best decorated streets are granted. Oh, and the themes are secret until the day when the festivities begin. There is as well another competition, the decoration of the balconies in which each neighbor can participate.

The magic hour in the Monastery of PedralbesAn activity to relieve stress, relax, enjoy the tranquility of religious spaces, and to know the Gothic cloister considered the largest in the world that is preserved. Every Tuesday and Friday of summer, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Monastery of Pedralbes opens the doors of the cloister and offers a disconnection space.

Building New Worlds. The historical vanguards in the IVAM collection 1914-1945This exhibition presented by CaixaForum Barcelona analyzes the artistic vanguards from a wide selection of works from the IVAM collection, and complemented by design pieces from the Alfaro Hofmann Collection (unique worldwide on industrial design, which highlights the value of the object as a symbol of progress, freedom and development). The collection of the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (IVAM) is a Spanish and international reference in the art of the avant-garde of the 20th century, a time little represented in the collections of our country.

In the edition of 2019 stand out the veteran Marco Carola, who will captivate us with his increasingly minimalist style; Paco Osuna, who has been running for 20 years; Tale of Us that will show us their vision of electronic music, with elements of techno and house; Stephan Bodzin, one of the greatest ambassadors of German melodic techno; the lo-fi of the British Ross From Friends; and the b2b of Dubfire & Tiga, Recondite & Marcus Worgull, and Barnt and Roman Flügel.

50 Photos With History50 Photos With History, he proposes a journey through the last eighty years of photography in Spain. Each photograph has a history and reflects the history of an era and the way photography was understood. You can see works by Agustí Centelles, Martín Santos Yubero, Ricard Terré, Joan Colom, Ramón Masats, Alberto García-Alix, Pablo Juliá, Chema Madoz, Marisa Flórez, Cristina García Rodero, José María Mellado, Navia, Isabel Muñoz and Sandra Balsell. Among the selection of photographers of 50 Photos With History are 17 National Photography Awards and 2 National Plastic Arts Awards.

Grec Festival of BarcelonaThe Grec de Barcelona is a festival of theater, dance, music, circus and cinema, with a long tradition (this year marks the 43rd edition). It is not only the main cultural attraction of the Barcelona summer, but also a reference in the European calendar of festivals. In this year's edition, which looks towards the Anglo-Saxon cultures, the Grec is structured again in two large groups of shows: El Grec de Montjuïc: the most international Festival, and the Grec City: reflection of local creation. In addition to the usual theaters in Montjuïc and City, in this edition they will have new spaces such as the MNAC, the Palau de la Música, the Drassanes, and several museums and Creation Factories. The CCCB will be the epicenter of the Grec Jove, which this year has more relevance.
