The Barcelona Adult Puppet Theater Festival, called Ròmbic, was created as a way of highlighting this discipline created and represented on the outskirts of the city. The objective of the festival is to become a prominent event for all puppet lovers, and to be among the most interesting options in the cultural field of Barcelona. The programming has been developed in collaboration with prominent Barcelona entities in the sector, such as the Roquetes Titellaire Association, the Pepe Otal House-Workshop and the La Puntual puppet theater.

About the IX edition of the Ròmbic Festival (2023)

The Rombic Theater Festival begins on Friday, April 14, with the premiere of Five Lines, a theatre, audiovisual art and live music show that explores a dystopian scenario in which society must adapt to armored spaces that sacrifice freedoms to security change. On Saturday, April 15, there will be a free day with two shows and a talk about giant puppets and neighborhood fights in Barcelona. Caterina will be presented, a large-format puppet show, a project of memory and collage of objects, and The Parasite Circus , an international proposal by the Têtes de Mules Company that combines comedy and Greek tragedy. On Sunday, April 16, Tabula will premiere for the first time in Barcelona, a gestural, puppet and movement theater show about self-esteem by the company Les Cícliques de Lleida, in which the protagonist seeks to recover her memory and authenticity.
