Barcelona has hosted every summer and since 2008, the main gay pride celebration in the Mediterranean, attended by more than 380,000 people each year (under normal circumstances). Pride Barcelona is a non-profit event, both festive and demanding in favor of the rights of the LGTBI collective and offers a careful selection of activities: talks, seminars, cinema, artistic exhibitions, shows ... and during the night, in addition, the night bars, discos and saunas of the city hold special parties.
The 2023 edition of Pride Barcelona
In this year's edition of Pride Barcelona the protagonists will be older LGTBIQ+ people, a special occasion to thank them for all the path they have opened and the ground they have conquered for subsequent generations. They will give visibility to their different realities, needs and desires, and we will be able to continue learning from their experience. Because pride has no age.
Full details of the program have not yet been revealed. On July 14 and 15, most of the events will take place at Plaça Universitat, which will host a new Village Pride. But that's not all, this year we will have a new Village, which will occupy an area of 5,000 square meters. It will be an area full of tents, with the participation of numerous organizations and stands. In addition, it will be the perfect place to enjoy Pride Kids and extensive programming during the day. During the afternoon and until the wee hours of the morning, this space will delight us with a new musical and cultural program, complementing the one that will take place on Avenida Maria Cristina, which will continue to be the center of the celebration and claim.
