Guitar BCN is the most important hall festival in Barcelona. It offers an eclectic and cosmopolitan program with artists linked to the world of the six strings. This year it reaches its 34th edition and, as usual, presents leading artists and new rising values in halls and emblematic spaces of the city. This year the Guitar BCN artists will perform on the stages of Apolo, Apolo [2], Auditori del Fòrum, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Luz de Gas, L'Auditori Sala 2, Palau de la Música Catalana, Razzmatazz, Sala Paral· lel 62, Sant Jordi Club, Tívoli Theater and Coliseum Theatre.
About the 2023 edition of Guitar BCN
Zaz and Andrés Calamaro are two prominent names in this new edition that is based on the female presence and that includes, as usual, established and emerging artists. There will be 15 musical proposals and 40 concerts in total. In the rooms that we have mentioned, we can enjoy the premieres of new works by Judit Neddermann, Els Amics de les Arts, Núria Graham, Laura Andrés or Sergi Carbonell. Christina Rosenvinge travels to the 90s to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the most acclaimed albums in the history of national pop, Let Lightning Break Me . We will be able to listen to established singer-songwriters such as the aforementioned Andrés Calamaro, Kevin Johansen, Ismael Serrano, Marwán, Nacho Vegas and El Kanka, to future references such as El Jose, Mr. Kilombo, Antoñito Molina, to young stars (Suu), and to artists from the alternative scene like Tulsa, Jenny & The Mexicats. This year there will also be big names on the international scene such as the French Zaz and the Venezuelan Danny Ocean, a true phenomenon of urban genres who has just won an MTV EMA award.
