The artist Txemy Basualto breaks in this exhibition with his habitual languages and inherited codes. Uncertain balance arises from the commitment to the search for a personal and absolute balance, in which he addresses his own identity, the historical moment and his relationships with the environment. To do this, Txemy questions the concepts of identification, paternity, race, belonging and ecology. In collaboration with the product designer Itziar Luna and the composer Perdi Rominger, this project takes the viewer on an internal and universal journey through sounds, experiences with space and exhibits, painting and paper; paper as the origin of everything and painting as the point of union between all the elements of the exhibition.

The creation process for this exhibition has been conceived as an opportunity to address the essential issues that have arisen during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the intention of catalyzing a joint reflection on the effect that 2020 has had on all of us, the viewer is invited to an individual and collective experience, which allows them to break free from imposed walls to try to return to nature.

All the materials used in this exhibition are 100% biodegradable or recyclable.

Curator: Sara Catalán.
