Tallers Oberts BCN

Tallers Oberts BCN has been held since 1993. Since the first edition it has been possible to verify the interest of both the sector and the citizens. This initiative represents a double opportunity: it shows art, crafts and design to the non-specialized public, and vindicates the need for the existence of workshops as cultural spaces. It is also considered a relevant event for young people, since it is an opportunity to showcase new artisans. During these open days, the creative spaces are open to the public, providing a unique opportunity for the community to explore the world of creation in the company of creators and professionals in the sector. This project allows these artists to share techniques, creative processes and finished works with those interested in learning more about their work. In addition, they invite the public to participate in activities and workshops for all levels of experience.

Tallers Oberts BCN 2023

This year's edition of Tallers Oberts, which will last 3 days, will feature more than 100 activities (mainly workshops, in Barcelona and l'Hospitalet de Llobregat). During the 3 days of the event, artists from a wide variety of disciplines will be involved: jewelry, graphic design, glassmaking, ceramics, painting, engraving, sculpture, photography, drawing, textile crafts, fashion, painting and many more.

A sample of what you will find in the program

• Maybe here you will learn how to paint an antique ceramic tile, and you can take it home with you!
• Want your own personalized bag? Then bring your design, drawing or photo to the workshop "Print a Tote Bag with the image of your choice" and you'll have it printed on a Tote Bag.
• The workshop "Create a ceramic piece with fused glass inside" is a great experience if you like ceramics. Here you will create a unique piece that you can decorate however you like.
• If you love candles, "Scented Candle Workshop" is perfect. You'll make two soy candles, one in a glass jar with the scent and flowers of your choice, and one in the shape of a cake.
• Want a super cool magnet for your fridge? In "Magnet Decoration", you can decorate a flower Panot magnet - and the materials are included!
• If you're interested in science, this "Introduction to Biomaterials" might appeal to you. They'll give you recipes for making biomaterials and show you how to make them. You can take your samples home. It's for beginners and professionals.
• Want to try something super creative? In the workshop "Initiation to the art of glass blowing", you will blow and model glass to make a glass.

Please note that admission to the creative spaces and some activities are free, but most workshops are fee-based. Check the program to find out what day and time are held workshops taught by each artist.
