Other great figures from the world of opera who can not travel to Barcelona on the day of the event will be present in the form of audiovisual testimony: Plácido Domingo, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Roberto Alagna, Juan Diego Flórez, Teresa Berganza, Richard Bonynge, Ainhoa Arteta, Giancarlo del Monaco, Carlos Álvarez, James Conlon, Valery Gergiev, Pretty Yende, Nadine Sierra and Levy Sekgapane.

The most human side of a diva

"The smile of Montserrat Caballe" aims to show the most human and personal side of the opera diva, bringing her figure and her surroundings closer to her admirers. That is why, in this evening, artists close to the soprano who marked his career will also sing. Figures such as Pene Patio and Agostina Smimmero, who won the First Prize of the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Contest; Nikolay Baskov, pop artist who by admiration to the Monsterrat Caballé became his pupil to enter the lyrical world, and like other disciples like Jordi Galán they sang in numerous concerts with her; or Anthony Harutian, singer of 19 years and last pupil of the soprano.

Not only the Gran Teatre del Liceu

The main opera houses of the world that had the pleasure of welcoming her on stage also wanted to accompany the Liceu in this initiative. A long list headed by the Royal Opera House - Covent Garden, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Opera of Paris, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York or the Royal Theater of Madrid among others.
