The International Vintage Car Rally Barcelona-Sitges, which this year reaches its 62nd edition, began in 1959. It is called a rally, but it is not surprising that the most important thing is to participate and more appreciated are the aesthetics than speed. All cars and motorcycles are manufactured before 1930 and both the driver and passengers are dressed according to the era. Old cars of emblematic brands such as Rolls Royce, Hispano-Suiza, Citroën, Ford, Fiat, Renault, Peugeot, Buick, Chevrolet or Alcyon, will circulate through the streets of Barcelona towards Sitges. The rally begins at Plaza de Sant Jaume of Barcelona and leads through the streets of Barcelona, Hospitalet de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat, C-245, C-246 (Costas del Garraf) and ends with a parade through the streets of Sitges and an awards ceremony for the most elegant clothes at the rally. The route is 40 kilometers long and the participants come from all over Spain and other countries. But the rally is not only the race, parallel to it are also other events organized.
