This year the 58th edition of the International Choral Festival Barcelona is celebrated. This festival is aimed at members of choirs. The objective is that, by attending workshops, they learn specific techniques and start singing certain choral styles. The participants in the workshops offer free 30-minute concerts to the public in the Basilica of Santa María del Pi and 60-minute concerts in towns around Barcelona. The closing concert, held at the Palau de la Música, will be an exceptional musical evening in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

The workshops

Much of the life of the Festival will take place in the Martí Codolar Salesian Residence. The singers may participate in the following workshops:

  • The colors of the choir for children's and youth choirs: director Elisenda Carrasco.
  • Beethoven: Missa in C Major, conductor: Jordi Casals.
  • Musicals, director: Sergi Cuenca.
