The coastline of Barcelona explains the evolution of The coastline of Barcelona from the relationship of human beings with the sea. The coast of Barcelona has undergone substantial changes over the years, in the same way that people's relationship with the coastline has changed. The exhibition, which is divided into four areas, is a journey that begins at the time of the formation of the coastline to the current stage, marked by construction and adaptation to our interests as a species.

Regarding the format, the exhibition has a high experiential component: it uses different languages, technologies and visual, sound, audiovisual and light formats to show the content; what is specified in interactive touchless technology located on the floor. In this way, the visitor activates the contents without having to touch any button or screen, respecting the anti-Covid-19 regulations.

The coastline of Barcelona has been curated by the historian and geographer Santiago Riera.

Entrance to this exhibition and to all temporary exhibitions is included in the general admission to Montjuïc Castle.

Free Entry: children under 16 years old, every Sunday from 3:00 p.m. and all day on the first Sunday of the month. February 12 and May 17 are open days so you can also enter for free.
