The Municipal Band of Barcelona, founded in 1886 , is closely linked to the festive world (it participates in major events in Barcelona, such as the Mercè and Santa Eulàlia festivities). He is regularly present at the concerts of the Grec festival and performs throughout Catalonia.

It is based in the Auditori, with a stable season. Its activity includes premieres, thematic programs and collaborations with soloists and directors. It is made up of fifty performers of wind and percussion instruments. On this occasion they will perform outdoors in the emblematic Plaça del Rei in the Gothic Quarter.
