The 5K @EASD Race / Walk brings together citizens of Barcelona and EASD delegates to demonstrate the need to increase physical activity in order to help prevent diabetes and its complications. This activity gives participants the opportunity to raise public awareness about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle to prevent and control diabetes. After the success of the Berlin edition last year 2018, Novo Nordisk will again present the 5K @EASD race / walk in Barcelona. This sporting activity will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, starting at 8:30 p.m. on the famous blue track of the Olympic Stadium of Montjuïc in Barcelona Lluis Companys.
The organization offers two registration modalities. One free without t-shirt of the event and another that costs USD 12.50 + USD 2.39 of management fees with t-shirt included. In the free option, for each registered person, Novo Nordisk will deliver 1 Danish crown to the World Diabetes Foundation Jordan Project. In the payment option, all proceeds from the t-shirts will go to the World Diabetes Foundation and Novo Nordisk will also deliver 1 Danish crown.
