Parking a car on the streets of Barcelona can be difficult and expensive. In the centre of the city and in other areas parking spaces are mostly reserved for the residents. This areas are called green zones. However there are zones, the blue zones, where everybody can park its car, but only for a maximum of time (2 hours) and for the same price or more expensive than in a public car park.

PUBLIC CAR PARKS IN BARCELONA

It's not difficult to find a public car park, there are many in Barcelona. The problem is the price. Almost all parkings have a daily price and a monthly price, but no price for a week. The daily price is about 30,00 Euros and the monthly about 120,00 Euros. Sometimes it is cheaper for a stay of 5 days, to rent the parking space for a month than for just a few days. Nevertheless there are 2 of the car parks which offers the city of Barcelona, which has a special rate:

- Parking of the Fòrum (Plaça d'Ernest Lluch i Martin) for 36,20 Euros between 1 and 5 days. + Information
- Parking of the Barcelona Nord (carrer d'Alí Bei, 54) for 17,05 Euros daily. + Information

But we would like to mention, that the price is only valid, if you don't move the car from the parking. That means, if in the car park of the Fórum you move your car on the second day and you return the car to the car park the same day, you have to pay again. In the parking in the Estació Barcelona Nord (and this is the same in all the public parkings in Barcelona), the daily rate for the car is for 24 hours in the car park without moving the car from the parking. If it's less than 24 hours, they charge the night rate (at least 12 hours) and the rest of the 24 hours the rates per hour, which is about 3 Euros.
