El Prat Josep Tarradellas (BCN) is the main Barcelona airport. It is about 13 km south-west of the Barcelona city centre (Plaça Catalunya). From the airport you can get to the city by bus, metro, train or taxi.
Bus Barcelona - El Prat airport | AEROBUS
The fastest bus with a more frequent service is the AEROBUS. It has a light blue colour and there are busstops at all the terminals of the airport. It runs beween the airport and the Plaça de Catalunya (centre of Barcelona) and the travel time is about 35 minutes. There are 2 lines, the A1 (light blue) which runs from the Terminal 1 (T1) and the A2 (light blue) from the Terminal 2 (T2).
AEROBUS line A1
- This is the route from the airport (Terminal T1): Plaza España, Gran Via-Borrell, Plaza de la Universitat and Plaza Catalunya (city centre).
- From Plaza Catalunya to the airport: Sepúlveda-Urgell, Plaza Españya, Airport Terminal T1.
Timetable and frequency of the AEROBUS A1

The bus line 46
There is another bus line with less frequency which takes you to Barcelona (Plaça Espanya and Fira Barcelona). The travel time is a bit longer (about 50 minutes) but the ticket, you can buy it on the bus, is cheaper (2.55 €, price 2024. You can also use the Hola BCN card, T-casual (1 zone) and other cards). It's the line línea 46 and can be taken at all terminals. Please note that the T-casual card cannot be purchased at the automatic sale machines of the airport metro stations, it can only be purchased at the machines at the train station (terminal T2).
Night bus Barcelona airport
N18 line
Travel from all airport terminals to the Plaça Catalunya - Pelai (center of Barcelona). It has several stops on Gran Vía, in Plaça Espanya and Plaça Universitat.
- Schedule from the airport to Plaça Catalunya - Pelai: from 0:18 to 4:33 h with a frequency of 60 minutes.
- Schedule from Plaça Catalunya - Pelai to the airport: from 0:05 to 4:50 h with a frequency of 60 minutes.
- Price (2024 rate): € 2.55. The same transport cards and passes can be used as on day buses.
Metro Barcelona - El Prat airport
The metro line L9 sud can be taken in the T1 and T2 airport terminals of Barcelona and connects with 4 urban metro lines: Torrassa station with the line L1, Collblanc station with L5, Zona Universitaria station with L3 and Can Tries / Gornal station with L10. The L9 Sud has two stations in the area of Fira de Barcelona Gran Via and at the Europa Fira station, you can change with the FGC, which will take you to Plaça Espanya.
The normal single fare ticket is not valid for the Airport. It is necessary to buy a special single ticket to the airport. It is also important to note that the T-casual card is not valid for the airport (although if you arrive at the airport with an invalid ticket, you can buy an airport ticket to leave the station).

- Most common valid cards: Hola BCN, T-usual and T-dia.
- Travel time to Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter: 55 minutes approx.
- Travel time to the Sagrada Famila area: 60 minutes approx.
There is another night bus line that goes to Barcelona, the N17, which only leaves from the T1 terminal and passes through L'Hospitalet de Llobregat before reaching the center of Barcelona.
Getting Barcelona by train from the airport
The access is from Terminal 2 (T2) through a pedestrian walkway. There is a free airport shuttle bus between the 2 Terminals, for those who arrive or depart from the Terminal (T1).

- Main train station of Sants (Plaça de Sants, close to the Plaça d'Espanya)
- Passeig de Gracia (centre of Barcelona)
- Clot-Aragó (Av. Meridiana, close to the Plaça de les Glòries)
- Barcelona-Sant Andreu Comtal
Timetables (from the aiport): monday to sunday from 05:42 h.to 23:38.
Timetables (from Sants station): monday to sunday from 05:13 h.to 23:13.
Timetables (from Passeig de Gràcia station): monday to sunday from 05:08 h.to 23:07.

Travel time to Barcelona Sants: 20 minutes
Travel time to Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona city center): 24 minutes
Price 1 way: 4,60 € (price 2024). You can also use the Hola BCN card, T-casual (1 zone) and other cards
Taxi of Barcelona airport
Barcelona taxis are easily spotted with their yellow and black livery. There are taxi ranks outside each terminal building. The journey into the city takes around 30 minutes and costs around € 30,00. Taxis are obliged to offer credit card payment, not charge for luggage and issue a receipt for the journey made; and wheelchairs and pushchairs must be carried free of charge. As for pets, it is up to the taxi driver to accept them or not, except in the case of guide dogs, which must be accepted.
Hire a car in Barcelona airport
The airport access road is the Barcelona-Castelledefels motorway C-31. The exit B-22 leads to the T1 and the C-32B leads to the T2. The 2 terminals are connected by a road. The C-31 motoway leads directly into the city on the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes (popular Gran Via), the principal Avenue of Barcelona which runs the city from south to north, and it's quite easy to get to the centre. By the way, if you rent a car you will need to book a parking.
Transfer service to go from the airport to Barcelona
The most simple and convenient option for visitors coming to Barcelona is a private shuttle service. It is not much more expensive than a taxi and they will wait for you with a sign with your name inside the terminal. Indicative prices:

- 4 people: from €45.00
- 5 people: from €60.00
- 6 people: from €64.00
- 7 people: from €73.00
- 8 people: from €77.00

El AEROBUS funciona 24 horas. También tienes el bus N18, pero el AEROBUS tiene mejor frecuencia de salidas y es más rápido. Arriba en esta página tienes información sobre los dos autobuses. En cuanto a la seguridad, te podemos decir que no es un un trayecto especialmente peligroso, más allá de que por la noche todo siempre lo es un poco más que por el día.

Buenos días Christian, muy fácil, el AEROBUS hasta la Plaza Catalunya. Las Ramblas empiezan en esa plaza, que es el punto más céntrico de Barcelona. Si tuvieras que ir hasta el final de Las Ramblas podrías plantearte coger el metro, la L3 (la verde) hasta la estación de Drassanes (serían dos estaciones). Hola Rubi, puedes coger el AEROBUS y bajarte en la primera parada en Barcelona, Plaza Espanya. Después tomas la línea L1 de metro (la roja) hasta la estación de Clot y desde ahí puedes ir andando 5-10 minutos. Para ir al Camp Nou coge la línea L2 del metro (la lila) hasta la estación de Paral·lel y cambiar a la línea L3 (la verde) hasta la estación de Les Corts, luego camina 10 minutos hasta el esatcio del FC Barcelona. ¡Buena estancia en Barcelona!

Buenas tarde Marcelo, el 46 te deja cerca de la Plaza Espanya así que tendrías que coger el metro también. El tren te puede ir bien si bajas en la estación de Passeig de Gràcia que está muy cerca de Plaza Catalunya. Ten en cuenta que el tren sale de la T2 y si llegas a la T1 tendrás que tomar el shuttle bus que conecta las terminales (es gratuito). Si vienes por vacaciones, pues te deseamos una buena estancia en Barcelona.

Hola Julio, la opción más económica es coger la L77 en dirección a Jacint Verdaguer hasta la parada Av. Can Corts - Ctra. d'Esplugues. Después caminas unos 5 minutos hasta la estación de metro Cornellà Centre de la L5 (la línea azul) y tomas el metro en dirección Vall d'Hebron hasta la estación de Sant Pau Dos de Maig. Estarás muy cerca de la dirección que has indicado.
El tren se coge en la T2 y el billete sencillo (4,10 euros) no sirve para el metro. El billete del autobús cuesta 2,15 igual que el del metro. Con la T10 (10 viajes por 9,95 euros) podríais utilizar un viaje para los dos medios si el tiempo de validación no supera los 75 minutos. En el aeropuerto, la T10 sólo se puede comprar en los cajeros automaticos de ServiCaxa (son amarillos). La T10 también te sirve para el tren. Si prefieres esta opción pues tienes que coger el Bus Transit que te lleva de la T1 a la T2 (es gratuito). Te bajas en la estación de Sants y dentro de la misma estación coges la L5 del metro. Aunque tengas que coger el bus entre terminales quizá sea algo más rápido.

Hola Emmanuel, tendríais que coger el bus N17 pero mejor antes de las 4:00 am porque va a la T1 y desde la T1 para ir a la T2 tenéis que coger el bus transit que os lleva gratuitamente de la T1 a la T2. Un taxi quizá sería mejor pero vamos con la combinación que te comentamos es posible.

Ich möchte vom Bahnhof Barcelona-Sants zum Flughafen BCN Terminal T1 fahren. Für mich kommen 2 Möglichkeiten in Frage:
a/ Mit dem Zug R2 Nord oder
b/ Mit der U-Bahn Linie 9
Mir scheint die U-Bahn Linie 9 schneller und besser als der Zug R2 Nord, weil ich mit der U-Bahn 9 direkt nach Terminal T1 fahren kann und nicht über Terminal T2 . Mein Problem ist es, einen großen Koffer mitzuschleppen. Ihrer Meinung nach welche Transportmöglichkeit ist für mich besser? Zug oder U-Bahn?
Und welche Ticket sollte ich kaufen?

Mit dem Koffer gibt es keinen großen Unterschied zwischen der U-Bahn und dem Zug. Mit dem Zug kommen Sie am Terminal T2 an und in diesem Terminal müssen Sie den kostenlosen Bus zum Terminal T1 nehmen. Die U-Bahn muss auch bei Collblanc wechseln. Die U-Bahn ist ein bisschen teurer als der Zug und es dauert ein wenig länger, aber der Unterschied ist nicht zu groß. Sie müssen eine andere Möglichkeit haben, um die Rolltreppen nicht zu betreten: Gehen Sie zur Plaza Espanya (10 Minuten) und nehmen Sie die AEROBUS A1, die Sie direkt zum T1 bringt.

Llegar a Trinitat Nova
Hola Vicky, te indicamos pues cómo llegar a la estación de metro de Trinitat Nova. En el aeropuerto coge el AEROBUS hasta la primera parada en Barcelona (Plaza Espanya). A pocos metros, encontrarás una estación de metro. Coge la L3 (la verde) dirección Trinitat Nova que no es sólo la dirección sino la estación en la que te tienes que bajar, la última de la línea. Otra opción que tienes es tomat el tren hasta la estación de Sants y en la misma estación coger el metro L3 con la misma dirección que te hemos indicado. El billete de tren te costará más barato que el del AEROBUS (ver información en esta página).

Wenn Sie am Terminal T2 ankommen, können Sie den Zug zum Bahnhof Passeig de Gràcia nehmen. In der gleichen Station nehmen Sie die U-Bahn-Linie L4. Diese U-Bahnlinie bringt Sie zum Bahnhof Maresme Fòrum. Wenn Sie am Terminal T1 ankommen, können Sie einen kostenlosen Bus zum Terminal T2 nehmen, um den Zug zu nehmen, oder Sie können den AEROBUS (T1 und T2) zur Plaza Catalunya nehmen. Von Plaza Catalunya können Sie zu Fuß zur Plaza Urquinaona (5 Minuten) gehen und dort können Sie die U-Bahnlinie L4 nehmen. Wenn Sie mit der U-Bahn fahren möchten, ist die Fahrt 30-40 Minuten länger: L92 bis Bahnhof Torrassa. Dort wechsele ich in die Linie L1 nach Urquinaona und in Uruinaona in die Linie L4.

Lors de notre arrivée, le 11 septembre à 11h, nous prendrons un taxi. Nous avons loué un aparthotel Carrer Arago 565. Je pense que c'est sans problème. Par contre, notre avion décolle à 6h20 du matin et donc comment réserver un taxi pour 4h du matin le 18 septembre et être certains d'arriver à temps à l'aéroport. Merci d'avance.

The best would be the bus AEROBUS, to Plaça Catalunya, a good and cheapest option, the train to Passeig de Gràcia station. You can take the AEROBUS in all the terminals. The train only in T2 (a free shuttle bus connects T1 and T2). No problem about the luggage.

Hola Davide, para ir a la dirección que mencionas podéis tomar el AEROBUS, bajar en Plaça Espanya (la primera parada en Barcelona) y luego tomar la línea L1 de metro (la estación está muy cerca de la parada de autobús) y os bajáis en la estación de Marina que está bastante cerca de Marina 124. Para la vuelta tendréis que salir sobre las 5:00 de la mañana, podéis hacer el trayecto inverso. El metro funciona toda la noche los domingos. El AEROBUS empieza su servivio desde Plaza Catalunya a las 5:00 (A1) y 5:30 (A2). Si vais a la T2 tal vez es un poco justo, si vais a la T1 y cogéis el que sale de Pl. Catalunya a las 5:00 h podréis estar en el aeropuerto a las 5:30 más o menos.

Welches ist die schnellste und günstigste Verbindung zur Avinguda del Paral-lel 58 und ist das Hola Barcelona Ticket dafür geeignet wenn man auch die hop on Busse nutzen möchte ?

Hola Elena, para llegar al Hotel Acta Splendid el AEROBUS os costará 23,60 euros para 4 personas y el taxi aproximadamente 30 euros. Si lleváis muchas maletas o muy grandes quizá tendríais que coger dos taxis por lo que el precio sería casi el doble. ¡Buen viaje!

Die schnellste: AEROBUS + U-Bahn, und die billigste: Bus 46 + U-Bahn. Wie für die andere Frage, die Hola BCN Karte funktioniert nicht für den Touristenbus oder die AEROBUS, aber Sie können den Bus 46 und alle Busse in Barcelona, der U-Bahn und der Straßenbahn nutzen.

Le train est bien, moin cher que l'Aerobus est vous serez près de votre appartement. La gare est Passeig de Gràcia. Si vous prennez le train achetez la carte T10 à la gare de l'aéroport, la T10 vous servira aussi pour vous déplacer à Barcelone. Une autre option est l'Aerobus et l'arrêt serait Universitat, très près de votre appartement.

The closest train station is Sants Estació (around 20 minutes by walk from the address you mentioned). Better for you would be to take the Aerobus to Gran Via - Urgell, only 5-10 minutes by walk.

Flughagen zum Kreuzfahrt-Terminal D

Am billigsten ist es, den Bus 46 im Terminal 1 zur Plaza Espanya zu nehmen und dort die U-Bahn (Linie L3, Grün) bis zur Station Drassanes zu nehmen. Es wäre noch günstiger, wenn Sie zum Bahnhof des Terminals 2 gehen und eine T10-Karte kaufen, denn mit einer Fahrt können Sie den Bus und die U-Bahn benutzen. Aber wenn Sie Barcelona nicht besuchen, dann ist es keine gute Idee und es ist am besten, ein Ticket für den Bus und ein anderes für die U-Bahn zu kaufen. Nehmen Sie den AEROBUS und nicht die 46, sparen Sie ungefähr 30 Minuten und der Preisunterschied ist nicht sehr groß, aber Sie werden Zeit haben, mit den zwei Optionen anzukommen.

Pour aller à l'hôtel h10 Casanova vous pouvez prenner l'Aerobus jusqu'à l'arrêt Universitat et vous serez très près de l'hôtel. Les billets du bus on peut les acheter dans le bus ou online. Le prix vous le truverez dans cette page. Pour vous deplacer dans Barcelona, la carte Hola BCN ou la carte T10. La carte Hola BCN on peut l'acheter en ligne. Avec Hola BCN vous pouvez aussi utiliser le train pour arriver à Barcelona. La gare de Passeig de Gràcia est relativement près de votre hôtel (15 minutes). La T10 aussi valable pour le train mais elle ne peut pas s'acheter en ligne.

You can take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya bus stop, the last one and then go to Plaça Urquinaona to take the matro line L4 Trinitat Nova direction to La Barceloneta station or take the train at the terminal T2 (there is a free shuttle bus connecting T1 and T2) to Passeig de Gràcia stationa and in the same station take the metro line L4 to La Barceloneta station.

vielen Dank für die Antwort. Ich habe aber nicht verstanden warum man am Flughafen vom Terminal 1 zuerst noch zum Terminal 2 gehen soll.
Ist die T10-Karte im Terminal 1 nicht zu kaufen oder gültig?

Il faut donc prendre un metro à partir de la place Catalunya ( aérobus). L'hôtel n'est-il pas accessible à pied depuis la place?
