The funfair is situated on top of Tibidabo mountain, which dominates the whole city. It combines traditional and modern attractions. Don't forget to visit the museum of automatons. The best way to go to the Tibidao mountain is to take the Blue Tram (Tramvia Blau) and then the rack railway.

L’Aquàrium de Barcelona

The Aquarium of Barcelona opened its doors in 1995. It is situated in the Port Vell of Barcelona. The aquarium is a magical and mysterious world with about 11,000 animals of approximately 450 different species. The star of the aquarium is the "Oceanario" aquarium, unique in Europe, with two different specimen of sharks, moon fish, moranes and sea breams. A spectacular transparent tunnel takes the visitor below the water and the visitor has a sensation to be at the bottom of the sea. Besides the information about the world of the oceans, the aquarium is a unique experience for children and adults. Metro: L3 Drassanes, L4 Barceloneta.

Zoo de Barcelona

Founded in 1940 with an advanced system of moats rather than bars to separate humans and animals. One of its most famous resident was Copito de Nieve (Snowflake), the world's only albino gorilla. La Filmoteca has a children's film programme each Sunday at 5pm. The venue is away from the usual tourist route, but here in this comfortable cinema it is a delight to hear a new generation enjoying early Tom & Jerry and other films in the original language version. Metro: Hospital Clinic (L5).

IMAX PORT VELL
|
The IMAX is located in the Moll d'Espanya (Port Vell), in the area called Maremagnum. To get there you cross over a wooden footbridge called Rambla del Mar, the old harbour, which connects to the Ramblas, crossing the Plaza Colón. The IMAX is a cinema with a three projection systems: the Omnimax screen, the flat IMAX and the 3D IMAX for which spectators use 3D glasses. The images are of immense size and striking clarity and it has a very powerful multi-way digital sound. The images are so alive and real that you feel like you're really there. Metro: Barceloneta (L4), Drassanes (L3). Bus Turistic.
