As part of the CCCB KOSMOPOLIS Festival 2015 (from 17 to 22 March 2015), the CCCB presents the exhibition "The Sebald variations". The German writer and professor G. W. Sebald, (18.05.1944-14.12.2001) author of “The Rings of Saturn” and born in Wertach in Bavaria, was since 1987 Professor of European literature at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, Norfolk, England, until he died in a car accident. His premature death at the time that his work began to be appreciated, made him a cult author. His books continue to sell because the questions they asked about memory, history, literature, art and the contemporary have found no definitive answers . The exhibition aims to present a critical reflection, to understand the different ways in which his work has influenced the visual arts and literature after his death in 2001.
