Gabriel Casas, one of the most important Spanish photographers of the interwar period, was one of the first photographers who adopted the photographic language of the New Vision, the movement of German origin who revolutionized photography with the use of unconventional frames, contrasts of light and shapes, and photomontages.

The exhibition features 120 images of the most prolific period of Casas: ranging from the inauguration of the International Exposition in Barcelona in 1929 until the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939. In this visual tour, the visitor will explore as well the relation of Gabriel Casas with the New Photography and the relation to the social and political concerns of his time.
