A retrofuturistic event, a theme that revolves around the steampunk, a science fiction genre that combines the Victorian era (nineteenth century) with futuristic elements. The result? An attractive aesthetic and a literature full of adventure and creativity. The attendees of the event, dressed according to the theme, come together with the best craftsmen in the country and the most recognized writers and publishers of the genre. With a wide range of activities: conferences, live music, contests of inventions and of costumes and even workshops for children, the EuroSteamCon of Barcelona has become the largest steampunk event in Europe.
EuroSteamCon (European Steampunk Convention) was created by Marcus Rauchfuß (Traveler) to unite all Steampunk communities from the European continent in a single convention. During the event, the capitals connect themselves (Internet: audio, video or text) to share their fair with other countries.
