Democracy and religious diversity

The renowned Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor visits Spain and particularly Barcelona from 26 to May 31. Taylor is known for his research on multiculturalism, secularism and Ethics. The author is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at McGill University and was awarded the prestigious Templeton Prize in 2007. In October 2014, Charles Taylor published the first volume of "The secular era" where he analized about the "Western Christianity" and explained that the religion has not disappeared in our society but it has increased the religious, spiritual and also antireligious options. In this second volume, Charles Taylor focuses on changing conditions since the Enlightenment faith that undermined the old ways and laid the foundations for a new humanist alternative.
