The National Museu d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) presents an exhibition of Carles Casagemas (Barcelona, 1880 - Paris, 1901), a childhood friend of Pablo Picasso who committed suicide in 1901 in Paris and whose work has always been "hidden" after the works of the Malaga artist. This exhibition, with a total of 38 works and the first solo exhibition , invites the audience to appreciate the artistic porduction of Carles Casagemas without the shadow of Picasso.
Winter opening times: October to April, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm; Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 3pm
Summer opening times: May to September, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm; Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 3pm
Mondays closed, except public holidays. Monday public holidays 2014: 6 January, 21 April, 9 June and 8 December
Annual closing: 1 January, 1 May and 25 December
